IPベンダの業界団体，米RAPID（Reusable Application-Specific Intellectual Property Developers)が組織の再構成を行なった（リリース文）。まず，新会長を選出した。新会長には，米Synchronicity Inc.（ホームページ）でvice president of marketing and business development を務めるMark Miller氏が就任した。主要な三つのワーキング・グループの長も，新たに選出した。
すなわち，RAPIDおよびIPコアの知名度を上げるなどを目的にする，Promotion/Communications working group長には，米LogicVision, Inc.（ホームページ）でmanager for marketing communicationsを務めるClarisse Balistreri氏が就いた。IPコアの法務関係事項を知らせるLicensing and Business Practices working groupの長には，米Sierra Research and Technology, Inc.(ホームページ）でdirector of business developmentを務める Jim White氏。そして，VCのカタログを担当するVirtual Component (VC) Catalog working groupの長には，米Synchronicity Inc.（ホームページ）でbusiness development managerを務めるKat Hsu氏が就任した。さらにRAPIDは，他の業界団体との連携も積極的に進めるという。
